Goal Line Extended: Episode Seven

On this episode of Goal Line Extended, Will Scott speaks with Marcus Gronauer and Jack Schlafly about the most recent Syracuse lacrosse games.

The women’s program is still seeking its first ACC win following a 20-11 loss to North Carolina on April 13. The Orange has yet to solidify its defense, and Saturday’s contest showed Syracuse’s struggles after using three goalkeepers. The schedule doesn’t get any kinder for SU, who travel to Boston College on Thursday before facing off against the other team seeking an ACC win Louisville.

Syracuse men’s lacrosse finished the ACC regular season beating North Carolina in overtime, 13-12. This was SU’s final ACC season, which completed the conference regular season. The Orange plays its final non-conference game before the ACC tournament on Saturday when they host Navy.

Next week, the show will preview the ACC tournaments. It appears like the women will need to make a deep run to make the NCAA tournament, while only a really bad loss may keep them out of the tournament.
