SU women's hockey match ends with tie against RIT

After a loss Friday night against the RIT women’s hockey team, Syracuse and RIT tied Saturday night with one goal each at the Tennity Ice Pavilion.
The Orange’s (8-19-3, 8-6-2) Kelli Rowswell scored first, assisted by Brooke Avery, with 12:35 left in the first period. The Tigers (11-14-5, 7-8-1) answered a short while later when Kendall Cornine scored a goal with 8:41 left in the first. Neither team would score again in the first three regulation periods and headed to an overtime period where again, neither team would score.

RIT’s goalkeeper Terra Lanteigne finished with 43 saves and one goal against, while SU’s Ady Cohen finished with 15 saves and one goal against.
The Orange will next face Lindenwood in a two-game series at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22 and 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23 at the Tennity Ice Pavilion.
