Downtown Syracuse restaurants offer affordable deals during Dining Weeks
Dining Weeks offers food from over 50 local restaurants
The Downtown Committee of Syracuse is hosting the 19th annual Downtown Dining Weeks from March 1 through March 15.
More than 50 restaurants are participating in the culinary festivities, providing deals on three-course lunches and/or dinners. Prices range from $15 meals for lunch to $35 dinners with add-ons at some restaurants.
“I’m looking forward to introducing some new people to our Mediterranean style of dining,” said Jancy Ball, Otro Cinco’s hostess.
The Spanish restaurant is known for its tapas and paella- both featured on Otro Cinco’s menu for Dining Weeks and praised by Ball.
For a restaurant that is constantly changing its menu, like 317 at Montgomery, Dining Weeks provides an affordable window into their cuisine for diners who haven’t yet experienced it.

Co-owner Joel Carpenter uses this opportunity to introduce new food to diners who don’t usually go out. He says many customers wait until Dining Weeks specifically to try new restaurants.
“We just want to make sure everyone leaves full and happy,” Carpenter said.
Carpenter recommends trying the fan-favorite Chicken Bibimbap or the Cajun Shrimp Mac n Cheese.
Danny’s Steaks Chef Jesse Canestrare challenges all SU students from Philly to put their beloved cheesesteaks to the test in the next couple of weeks. Danny’s Steaks will be available for lunch and dinner with a $15 deal for customers.
“I think it’s a great idea to get people to try small portions at a reasonable price,” Canestrare said.
Among the other participating restaurants are SU student favorites Pastabilities, Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, Apizza Regionale and Oh My Darling.
