OCD and ADHD impacts millions of Americans, and SU studio arts alum Maggie Olive is one of them.

As an artist, Olive created “Where Did I Go” to reflect on her experience with OCD and ADHD. On one part of the two-part installation, Olive allows paints to flow into free forms without applying control. On the other side of the installation, she uses tape to control the paint, which is contained in squares.

She also put the red square in the middle to express the overcoming of fear. These choices reflect her mental status on and off ADHD medication.
