Ozzie Guillen will sit out five games for his remarks about Fidel Castro
The Miami Marlins announced today that manager Ozzie Guillen will be suspended for five games for comments showing admiration and respect for Cuban leader Fidel Castro. Ozzie Guillen is in his first year managing the Marlins after managing the Chicago White Sox for eight years.
Guillen stirred tremendous controversy when he told Time Magazine a few days ago that he respected Castro for being able to lead Cuba for a long period of time. Also, this is a controversial issue because there is a very strong Latin population in the Miami area.

However, weather conditions prevented the race to ever begin.

Jerry Sandusky has not been the recipient of good news as of late. However, today the accused child molester’s defense team accomplished a few small victories. The former Penn State assistant football coach is currently serving a home confinement order as part of his bail.
