After suffering from at least five heart attacks, Cheney received a new heart from an anonymous donor.

After a long history of heart problems, Dick Cheney, former Vice President to George W. Bush, received a heart transplant over the weekend in Falls Church, Virginia. 

According to The Toronto Star, the 71-year-old’s new heart came from a donor whose identity is remaining anonymous.

Study says two daily doses can cut threat by 63 percent

The Los Angeles Times reports that according to a new study, patients who take aspirin daily develop colon cancer less often than those not receiving aspirin treatments. These results are seen especially in patients who have genetic conditions that predispose them to cancer. The study, out of Newcastle University in England, found that patients who took aspirin over two years had a 63 percent reduced chance of colon cancer.

Males getting the HPV vaccine is being discussed a crucial procedure. Boys starting at age eleven years old should receive the HPV vaccine Gardasil to protect themselves against sexually transmitted diseases. A federal government advisory committee voted Tuesday to recommend that males ages 11 to 21 be vaccinated against the human papilloma virus, which is blamed for thousands of cases of cancer among women and men.
