Syracuse women’s soccer team battled No. 6 Florida State for more than 70 minutes before the game’s only goal resulting in the Orange’s 1-0 loss Sunday to the defending NCAA champions.

FSU’s Deyna Castellanos scored in minute 72 off a pass from Yujie Zhao as the Seminole offense took 23 shots during the game compared to only two for SU.

The Orange (2-6-2) head to South Bend on Friday for a 7 p.m. game against Notre Dame.
