Ryan Werner has as sport for every season. The 10-year-old Syracuse boy plays baseball in the Spring. He plays baseball in the Spring, golf in the Summer, soccer in the Fall and ice hockey in the Winter. But Ryan isn’t like all the other kids on the ice rink. Ryan’s been an amputee since he was a baby after having his lower left leg removed due to cancer. Ryan feels that “it’s good to be different” and won’t let his disability stop him from being the best that he can be. Ryan also plays for the Central New York Flyers sled hockey team and wants to raise awareness of the sport so that more kids can be involved.
