Syracuse football head coach Dino Babers announced Wednesday the signing of three new student-athletes to the 2018 class.

This is the second signing day, with the first happening in December; a new format for college football.

“Having two signing days may be a little anticlimatic, but we still had to finish out a nice class,” Babers said.

The process was a lot quicker than in previous years with the earlier signing period. Babers used some time to credit his staff with their work in getting the players.

“It speeds everything up in the process. You’re doing a lot of recruiting at the back end of the season which is not really what every football coach wants, but you have to find a way to balance those two things as a coach and you have to recruit. That’s part of the job,” Babers said.

Here are the most recent players that signed for the Syracuse Orange:

Caleb Okechukwu, a six-foot four-inch defensive linemen, signed on Feb. 7.

Jarveon Howard, a five-foot ten-inch running back, signed on Feb. 7.

Akeem Dixon, a six-foot running back, signed on Feb. 7.
