Whethan, a 19-year-old electronic artist and producer, is the main event at this year's Mayfest concert on Friday, April 26th, in Walnut Park.

Breakout electronic artist and producer Whethan will perform at Mayfest on April 26th after opening acts Saba and Adult Mom, University Union announced on Tuesday. Behind Whethan’s chart-topping stage name is 19-year-old Ethan Snorek, who took over SoundCloud in 2016 and has since toured with The Chainsmokers, Louis The Child, and performed at Coachella. Some of his best releases include “High“, a collaboration a with Dua Lipa off the “Fifty Shades Freed” soundtrack, “Good Nights” (ft. Mascolo), and “Savage” (feat. Flux Pavilion & MAX).

Most people first met Chicago rapper Saba through his frequent collaborations with Chance the Rapper, like on the song “Angels“. Last year, Saba released the powerful album “CARE FOR ME”, named Best New Music by Pitchfork. Listen to notable tracks “BUSY” and “LIFE”. On a different note, expect the softer sounds of bedroom pop from singer-songwriter Adult Mom. Otherwise known as Stephanie Knipe, Adult Mom’s songs like “Be Your Own 3 am” and “Survival offer raw glimpses into her journey navigating through life and heartache.
