Pusha T and Flipp Dinero took the stage at Goldstein Auditorium on Saturday night after Tiffany Haddish’s stand-up performance at “’Cuse Can! It Starts With Us,” a day-long event. In between the two performances, panel discussions addressing social issues and the dynamics between SU and the Syracuse city took place. During the concert, Dinero gave multiple shoutouts to Nipsey Hussle, an L.A. rapper who was tragically killed in a shooting last week and actively worked to end gang violence. Headliner Pusha T went on afterwards and mostly played tracks from his latest album, “Daytona,” to a student audience. Pusha T also voiced his frustrations on Nipsey’s death on Twitter, emphasizing the significance of community.

“[Nipsey] was sharing his purest self, his vision, and traits from his heritage with all of us: empowerment and a sense of community, something that many of us don’t have…” Pusha T tweeted.
