Fans packed the Empower FCU Amphitheater for the local native’s F1-Trillion Tour show.
Syracuse native Post Malone showed his hometown pride before a sold-out crowd Saturday at the Empower Federal Credit Union Amphitheater.
After openers Dan Spencer and Muscadine Bloodline warmed up the crowd, Malone came onto the stage bearing an Otto the Orange T-shirt and opened with “Wrong Ones,” the first song from his country album, F-1 Trillion.
“I was born in Syracuse f—— New York, ladies and gentlemen,” Malone later told the crowd, according to Syracuse.com. “Thank you for having me tonight ladies and gentlemen and thank you for coming out.
“I just wanted to say how f—— grateful and honored I am to be back in this f—— amazing town, ladies and gentlemen. Thank you so very much.”
The Grammy-nominated singer’s set consisted of his newer country songs mixed with his pop hits from previous albums.
Malone will make four more stops across the northeast before returning to upstate New York and playing at SPAC in Saratoga on Sept. 23.
