Hootie & the Blowfish perform classics in ‘Cuse

Rock band plays hits including hit singles, “Let Her Cry,” “Hold My Hand” and “Only Wanna Be With You.”

Hootie & the Blowfish transported fans back to the ’90s at Syracuse’s Empower FCU Amphitheater at Lakeview on Friday night.

Opening acts Collective Soul and Edwin McCain set the tone for the evening before Hootie & the Blowfish hit the stage with a string of their biggest hits, including “I Go Blind,” “Let Her Cry,” and “Hold My Hand.” The band wrapped up the show with a crowd-pleasing finale, blending fan favorites “Only Wanna Be With You” and “Get Down On It.”

It was their first performance in Syracuse since 2007, and an estimated 14,000 fans packed the venue. Check out photos from the nostalgia-inducing concert below.
