The Plot In You makes Buffalo show about catharsis, connections
Review: The metalcore act’s return to western New York was nothing short of triumphant.
Buffalo RiverWorks was the place to be Saturday night as The Plot In You made their triumphant return to the city.
After taprevious show earlier in the year with fellow metalcore band Beartooth was canceled due to a snowstorm, fans were eager to snag tickets — so much so that The Plot In You sold out Saturday’s show..
The night opened with a bang as Massachusett’s Wind Walkers set the tone with a high-energy performance, captivating early arrivals with their melodic hooks and raw emotion. Next, Zero 9:36 cranked up the energy, blending alternative hip-hop and rock in a way that had the crowd moving and headbanging in unison. Currents followed, delivering their signature blend of heavy breakdowns and soaring melodies, solidifying the Connecticut band’s reputation as one of the genre’s rising stars.
When The Plot In You hit the stage, the crowd erupted. Opening with their new heavy hits “Don’t Look Away” and “Divide,” the band effortlessly commanded the room, weaving introspective lyrics with crushing instrumentals.
Vocalist Landon Tewers’ raw emotion and powerful delivery resonated deeply, creating an almost cathartic atmosphere as fans screamed every word back at the band.
The setlist featured a mix of old favorites and tracks from their latest EPs, showcasing their evolution while still staying true to their roots. The encore, highlighted by the haunting tracks “DISPOSABLE FIX” and “FEEL NOTHING” left the crowd buzzing long after the final note.
After a night filled with blistering performances and emotional highs, The Plot In You’s return to Buffalo was nothing short of triumphant.
