On day nine of The Great New York State Fair, Chapel Hart rocked the stage in Mississippi fashion Thursday evening at the Chevy Court Entertainment Stage.

The trio of sisters Danica and Devynn Hart, alongside their cousin Trea Swindle walked out on stage to a packed crowd whose paraphernalia matched the group’s country theme of cowboy hats, country boots, and American handheld flags.

Chapel Hart, named after the Mississippi area where the trio was raised, opened the concert with “Glory Days” and dedicated the song to the strong Mississippi woman who raised them. The crowd stared in silence, dialed into the lyrics about the singers’ childhood memories–Granny cooking for them, grandchildren playing, and aunties gossiping about the community.

The second song played, “4 Mississippi,” brought the deep South country road vibes to Syracuse. The singers swept the crowd off their seats, introducing their fans to a three-stomp move that goes with the song.

This isn’t the first time Chapel Hart, who also performed at the fair last year, has brought a crowd to their feet. The trio was also the second group in America’s Got Talent history to earn the Golden Buzzer in 2022.

On the fifth song of the night, the trio introduced the crowd to their most recent new single, “Perfect For Me,” released last year. The sisters directed each woman in the crowd to point to their significant other they loved during the performance, bringing joy to the faces of these men.

For each song played, Danica provided a detailed story regarding the decision-making that went into the song. Danica made the audience laugh during the group’s performance of “Dear Tequila,” as she spoke about her distaste for drinking tequila.

The group dedicated songs seven through nine on stage to military veterans who served and proud patriotic Americans in the crowd who waved their flags high in support of their country. Some lyrics from the song “American Pride” by the group say, “Grandpa would kick us out, we played outside, but that’s where we came alive, and that’s what built me and my American pride.”

To end the beautiful sunny evening concert, the crowd was exhilarated with amazing energy as the group performed their Golden Buzzer hit song “You Can Have Him Jolene.” The audience entered a frenzy, inching closer to the stage, hollering and dancing away their day, leaving long-lasting memories for many people this evening.
