Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will perform for  Syracuse fans at the JMA Wireless Dome on Thursday, Sept. 7 — marking the third time the New Jersey legend has played on campus.

Tickets will be sold through Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan and will go on sale on Feb. 24 at 10 a.m. Presale is open now through Feb. 19 at 11:59 p.m. This process will filter out bots and resellers to give fans the best chance at getting tickets, according to Ticketmaster.

The Boss and his band last performed at Syracuse University in 1992, where they played at the then-named Carrier Dome. Their first Dome appearance was 1986.

The Boss is going on tour to celebrate the release of his new album, Only the Strong Survivewhich was released in November of last year. With 21 studio albums, there will plenty of material to cover at the upcoming show from Born to Run from 1975 to some of his later work like Working on a Dream from 2009. Known for their several-hours-long concerts, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band are expected to deliver the same quintessential experience for fans at the JMA Wireless Dome come September.

Springsteen was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1999 and has only received more accolades since — with 20 Grammys under his belt and 50 nominations. In recent years, Springsteen has dabbled in everything from a show on Broadway to chats on his podcast with former President Barack Obama called Renegades.

Most recently, SU has hosted Paul McCartney and Elton John at the Dome with the Red Hot Chili Peppers scheduled for April.
