Pi'erre Bourne and Zack Fox perform at Bandersnatch
The show began with a set from DJ Jill, who played popular songs from various genres, stirring the audience’s excitement for the performances. When not hyping up crowds, the Boston native is SU senior Jillian Arroyo-Mark.
Rapper, writer, comedian and actor Zack Fox then performed a set filled with recognizable internet hits like “Jesus Is the One (I Got Depression),” “The Bean Kicked In” and “Square Up” in collaboration with Kenny Beats. The eclectic set began with a group meditation and continued with discussions of college majors, Fox’s newfound love of Faegan’s Cafe & Pub and his latest projects, which include television shows “Abbott Elementary” and “Bust Down.”
Producer and rapper Pi’erre Bourne closed out the concert with an hour-long set filled with some of his most acclaimed songs, like “Switching Lanes” featuring fellow Atlanta native Playboi Carti and viral TikTok hit “Drunk and Nasty” featuring Sharc.
The concert, held in Goldstein Auditorium, hosted about 500 SU and SUNY-ESF students, staff and faculty. It was an experience beyond the performances, as the auditorium was also filled with various clothing and art vendors, along with student publications like The Renegade Magazine and 20 Watts Magazine.
University Union recently announced the 60th anniversary of Block Party, an SU tradition, will be held on April 29. The lineup is yet to be released.
