Gucci Mane to headline Block Party

The rapper will be joined by R&B singer SZA and DJ Medasin at the Carrier Dome on April 27.

The moment we’ve all been waiting for has arrived. University Union announced Friday that Gucci Mane will perform at Block Party and will be joined by R&B singer-songwriter SZA and DJ Medasin.

Online pre-sale tickets for full-time SU/ESF students will start April 9 at noon through April 11 at 11:45 p.m. Student tickets are $25 for general admission and $20 for first, second and third level general admission. Tickets for the general public are $44 and will go on sale April 12 at noon.

Tickets will be available at Gate N from April 18 through April 20 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and outside Gate B from April 23 through April 29 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. All floor and first level tickets must be picked up with a valid SU/ESF ID.

Rapper Gucci Mane will headline 2018's Block Party.

Atlanta-based rapper Gucci Mane has released dozens of mixtapes and collaborated with Rae Sremmurd, Drake, Lil Wayne, Young Thug and more. Mane released his eleventh studio album, Mr. Davis, in 2017. It featured “I Get the Bag” with Migos, which became one of his most successful singles as a solo artist.

SZA rose to fame with her single “Child’s Play” featuring Chicago-favorite Chance the Rapper and produced by Dae One and XXYYXX from her first studio EP, Z. In 2017, she released her debut studio album, Ctrl, that generated success with “Love Galore,” featuring Travis Scott.

Medasin is a DJ based in Detroit and actively releases music on Soundcloud. He has recently remixed “I Fall Apart” by Post Malone and “Wild Thoughts” by DJ Khaled featuring Rihanna and Bryson Tiller.
