SU students react to Trump’s hostile immigration policies

Syracuse students react following an onslaught of executive actions targeting immigration in America.

We the Students is a podcast series created to explore the strong sentiments felt throughout the Syracuse University campus community following the 2024 presidential election.

The podcast is intended to allow SU students to voice their perspectives on the election’s aftermath and the ramifications that will continue to be felt for the next four years under a new yet familiar presidency.

In this episode, We the Students discuss immigration and how the first few weeks of Trump’s second administration have already significantly impacted the immigrant community across America.

Originally recorded on Feb. 6, our guests discuss how the Trump administration’s policies against immigration are impacting them personally and their communities as a whole. These thoughts and feelings come on the heels of an unprecedented onslaught of hostile policies impacting immigrant communities across the country.
