Officers from Syracuse Police and Syracuse University Department of Public Safety officers responded to University Village Apartments on Colvin Wednesday night in response to a report of gunshots fired.
More than 10 police cruisers arrived around 9 p.m. at 415 Small Road where officers searched for evidence around the apartment complex. Most officers had left by 9:30 p.m., and Syracuse University sent an email to students at 10 p.m. announcing that the area was deemed safe.
