Sunnivie Brydum

Profile

About Me:

Sunnivie Brydum is a 2009 graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communication at Syracuse University, where she graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in magazine journalism and a minor in lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender studies.

Sunnivie makes it her personal goal to maintain a broad and varied collection in music and considers it an integral part of life, liberty and the pursuit. Other passions include writing, editing (seriously), and horseback riding - she is a cowgirl at heart.

A Denver, CO, native, she is eager to return to the Wild West, where the sun shines a staggering 300 days a year. While at SU, she was an entertainment blogger for Newshouse, and an executive editor on JERK magazine and The OutCrowd, the campus' first LGBTQA publication.

Aside from surviving the sub-arctic temperatures in Syracuse, her crowning collegiate achievement was when JERK, under her leadership, was declared one of the top three student magazines in the nation in 2008 by the Society of Professional Journalists.
