Cheers to being green

A fun way to be green ... and it involves alcohol.

Going green can be more fun than you think. Try this organic, eco-friendly cocktail, a not-so-guilty pleasure, to celebrate Earth Day.

Organic Pomaniac

Ingredients: 

Organic vodka
Agave nectar
Organic pomegranate juice
Cointreau
Sparkling mineral water
Organic lemon
Organic cucumber (optional)
Ice
Cocktail shaker

Instructions: 

  • Fill cocktail shaker with ice
  • Add 1 1/2 shots vodka
  • Add 1/2 ounce agave nectar
  • Add 1 ounce pomegranate juice
  • Add 1/2 ounce cointreau
  • Shake well
  • Add a bit of lemon juice, and shake again
  • Pour into chilled glass, and top it off with a bit of mineral water
  • Garnish with organic cucumber or a twist of a lemon peel
