Politics, Technology, Art, Dance, Journalism. The Transcending Conflict Through Culture: A Cultural Diplomacy Symposium will bring together a diverse panel of experts on Monday, September 21, to explore the global interaction of culture through various mediums and systems. The Symposium will be held 2 to 5 p.m. at the Joyce Hergenhan Auditorium in Newhouse 3 on the SU campus.
This year's panel includes Marjane Satrapi, Iranian and French contemporary graphic novelist and author of "Persepolis;" Paul Salopek, two-time Pulitzer Prize winner; David Pogue, New York Times columnist and author of "The World According to Twitter," and Shen Wei, a principal choreographer of the 2008 Beijing Olympics opening ceremonies. The panel session and Q&A will be moderated by SU law professor David Crane.
