Led by Derek Holland, the Rangers even the series 2-2 versus the Cardinals
After a historic offense performance in game three, the Cardinals got shut-out by the young lefty Derek Holland in game four. The pitcher tossed eight and one third scoreless innings striking out seven and allowing just two hits to the potent St. Louis line-up in his team's 4-0 victory.
The Giants continue swinging a hot bat to claim Game 1 of the World Series
What was touted to be a pitchers' duel turned out to be more like batting practice.
The San Francisco Giants used a six-run fifth inning to help claim an 11-7 victory over the visiting Texas Rangers in Game 1 of the World Series on Wednesday night.
More notably, the Giants roughed up Rangers' starter Cliff Lee, who has been flawless in his postseason career. Headed into Wednesday night's contest, Lee boasted a 7-0 postseason record along with a 1.26 ERA.
The Yankees beat the Phillies last night 7-3 to win the World Series. Hideki Matsui received the World Series MVP for his 6 RBI performance last night. Manager Joe Girardi has won as a player and now as a manager.

George W. Bush will be a featured speaker at a motivational Texas business seminar
Former president George W. Bush has a new job. He will be a featured guest speaker at the "Get Motivated" business seminar in Fort Worth,Texas. He will be joined at the motivational seminar by his former Secretary of State Colin Powell and former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani. The seminar will take place on October 26th.
My take: It seems fitting that Bush will speak in Texas. It quite possibly could be the only place where he gets a warm reception. This is also the first major function for the former president.
