Sheen threatens to sue CBS, demands raise.

Warner Brothers Television has fired actor Charlie Sheen, 45, from sitcom "Two and a Half Men" which airs on CBS, according to CNN. Over the past two weeks, Sheen has been featured on many media outlets discussing his drug use and partying antics.

Production of the films based on the novel The Hobbit has been announced.

Production of the two films based off the novel The Hobbit is scheduled to start soon, reports The Post-Standard. The Hollywood Reporter says according to the announcement made by New Line Cinemas, Warner Bros. and MGM principal photography for the films beings in February 2011 under director Peter Jackson.

Four ferries of the coast of Sweden are free from heavy ice.

Artic winds made it difficult for rescue crews to free the four ferries and at least 30 other ships from the Baltic Sea.

Tommy Gardebring with the Maritime Search and Rescue Center told CNN the southern portion is a lot colder, but the nouthern portion has normal levels of ice.

The ferries carrying 1,000 people are now back at port.
