Wide Receiver fined for violating league's social media policy

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Terrell Owens has been fined $5,000 by the NFL for violating the league's social media policy, according to ESPN. Owens tweeted too close to the beginning of Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Owens sent a tweet an hour before kickoff, however the policy prohibits players and coaches from sending tweets 90 minutes prior to the game.

Police say that Colorado Rockies President, Keli McGregor was found dead Tuesday morning in his hotel room in Salt Lake City, Utah.  The cause of the death is still unknown.  CNN.com reports that police received a call shortly after nine a.m. saying that a man had been found unconscious in his room at the Grand America Hotel.

Syracuse University Basketball is racking up the Big East awards.

Wes Johnson was named 2009-2010 Big East Player of the Year and Jim Boeheim was selected as 2009-2010 Coach of the Year. The awards were announced at a press conference today at Madison Square Garden, the host site for the Big East Tournament.

Johnson, a junior transfer from Iowa, is the first transfer student to earn Big East Player of the Year honors. He is the fourth Syracuse player to earn the honor.
