Syracuse bounces back

After a disappointing loss to Louisville Saturday, Syracuse's basketball defeats West Virginia Monday night.

The Syracuse Orange have been hot and cold as of late this season. Monday night they seemed to be on the right track though as they defeated the West Virginia Mountaineers

63-52. The win comes after a disappointing loss to the Louisville Cardinals Saturday when they fell behind by as many as 20 points early in the second half and tried to battle back.

Delone Carter pleads guilty

Star running back Delone Carter pleaded guilty to charges of second degree harassment.

Syracuse running back Delone Carter pleaded guilty Thursday to charges of second degree harassment, according to CNYcentral.com.  Carter was sentenced on a conditional charge, meaning if he stays out of trouble, the charges will be dropped.

The Protestant Campus Ministry group held its second Jelly Jam event at Hendricks Chapel, making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the Syracuse Rescue Mission.

Kareema Pinckney slathered the peanut butter, spread the jam and packaged the sandwiches one by one.

Pinckney, a graduate student at Syracuse University in the television, radio and film program, was one of almost 75 volunteers who worked to make 950 sandwiches for the homeless on Tuesday at Hendricks Chapel.

A 15-yr.-old girl was gang raped after a homecoming dance

A 15-yr.-old girl was gang raped during a two-and-a-half-hour assault outside of her high school in Richmond, Calf., following a homecoming dance.

Two suspects have been arrested and a third is being questioned, reports CNN.com.

Physical evidence and witness and suspect statements show that the victim was raped by at least four suspects, says CNN.com.

As many as 15 males watched the assault, but none called the police or helped the victim, says CNN.com
