SU student athlete Stefanie Marty shares her experience of competing in two Winter Olympic Games.

Student athletes can be seen almost anywhere on the Syracuse University campus. Student athletes who have also represented their nation at the Olympic games are a rare sight.

Stefanie Marty is both. The junior economics major in the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, has played sports her entire life. This commitment led to her inclusion in the Swiss Olympic ice hockey team for the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics, as well as the 2006 squad for the Torino Winter Olympics.

7,500 Americans admit to oversea bank accounts

Many Americans are turning themselves in for having secret bank accounts overseas before the Swiss bank, UBS, turns over its list of clients to the U.S. government.

Thursday night marks the deadline for Americans with secret bank accounts to turn themselves into the U.S. government, abcnews.com reported. After that time, the Swiss bank, UBS, is required to turn in the list of clients who avoided taxes through secret bank accounts hidden all over the world.
