Cooke admits he 'needs to change.'

After being suspended for the remainder of the regular season and the first round of the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs on Monday, Pittsburgh Penguins left winger Matt Cooke talked to reporters today, according to ESPN. He told them that he's accepting the punishment and recognizes he must change the way he plays.

Cooke was suspended for elbowing Ryan McDonagh of the New York Rangers in the head during a game Sunday.

NCAA charges head football coach with failing to notify school of player infractions.

Ohio State head football coach Jim Tressel has received a two-game suspension and a $250,000 fine from the NCAA for failing to notify the school of NCAA infractions incurred by Ohio State players, according to ESPN.

The players, including star quarterback Terrelle Pryor, were suspended by the NCAA in December for the first five games of the 2011 season for their involvement in selling memoribilia to a local tattoo parlor owner in exchange for free tattoos.

The Syracuse men's basketball team will play Connecticut tonight since their match led to the second-longest game in Division I history last March. The Orange won the Big East Tournament quarterfinal 127-117 in six overtimes. Syracuse's leading scorer, Jonny Flynn, gained national attention from the game and was the sixth pick in the NBA draft.
