The major earthquake hit Indonesia last night

At least 103 people have been killed and 150 are still missing after an earthquake hit Indonesia Monday night. 

The 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck off Sumatra on Monday and triggered a tsunami, according to cnn.com 

The Indonesian Ministry of Health previously said that more than 300 people were missing, but that number later decreased.

A small protest by members of Syracuse United Neighbors,SUN, occurred earlier today outside of a bank in downtown Syracuse.

The protest, composed of about half a dozen members of SUN, entered the Bank of America across from Clinton Square around 11 a.m. today, according to the Post-Standard.

After last weeks earthquake, rescue crews make the decision to call off the search for missing people.

According to abcnews.com, just five days after the 7.6-magnitude earthquake devastated Sumatra Island, rescue workers have called off the search for the missing. Rescue officials say that the chances of survival without food and water for this length of time is impossible, so; instead, they will put their efforts towards aid for survivors. Authorities are using helicopters to take the wounded to the hospital and drop food in isolated locations.
