Controversial missile launch that North Korea says was designed to carry an observation satellite into orbit, breaks after launch.

North Korea launched it's highly controversial rocket launch that took off early this morning. However, the rocket broke into two parts, dropping into the sea, just two minutes after the launch according to CNN.

North Korea is in its final stages of digging a tunnel that can be used to launch a third nuclear test, according to top officials in South Korea. U.S. officials are concerned that this is another step by the North Koreans that could lead to a future attack on the U.S.

North Korean soldiers fired two shots at a guard post in South Korea Friday morning, prompting South Korean soldiers to return gunshots, according to CNN. The exchange happened near the South Korean city of Hwacheon and the North Korean city of Chorwon, where there was much fighting during the Korean War.
