More than 200 missing, 113 dead as crisis deepens.

Efforts are continuing to find for the more than 200 missing this Friday in Christchurch, New Zealand after a 6.3-magnitude earthquake devastated the town earlier this week, according to CNN. Many relatives of those missing, however, are losing hope that their loved ones will be found alive.

113 people have been declared dead from the earthquake and many of the missing are feared dead.

Buildings threaten to collapse as aftershocks hit New Zealand. Rescue teams continue search for missing people.

Christchurch residents are bracing for more aftershocks threatening to topple buildings already weakened by New Zealand’s deadliest earthquake in 80 years.

The city has been jolted by 38 aftershocks since Tuesday’s 6.3-magnitude temblor that killed at least 71 people, according to the Civil Defense Department website.

Rescuers aren't “getting a huge number of positive responses from the buildings where we would expect there to be more people trapped alive,” Prime Minister John Key told reporters in Wellington today.

Crews are hopeful to find others as well.

 The death toll from a 6.3 magnitude earthquake centered just outside of Christchurch, New Zealand, rose to 75, BBC News reports. Christchurch is the largest city on the southern island of New Zealand.

One woman escapes death in a quake that killed at least 75.

When the 6.3 magnitude earthquake struck Christchurch, New Zealand yesterday Ann Bodkin took cover under her desk, according to CNN. Bodkin was trapped in the remains of her office building for 24 hours. She was one of 30 survivors rescued yesterday from buildings on the two blocks that suffered the most damage from the earthquake.

Quake kills at least 65 people, destroys buildings, paralyzes city of Christchurch.

A 6.3-magnitude earthquake struck Christchurch during the lunchtime rush on Tuesday, CNN reports. The quake was then followed by a series of after shocks, according to CNN.

The quake has killed at least 65 people but the final death toll may be much higher, according to authorities.

"This may be New Zealand's darkest day," said New Zealand Prime Minister John Key.

Production of the two films based off the novel The Hobbit is scheduled to start soon, reports The Post-Standard. The Hollywood Reporter says according to the announcement made by New Line Cinemas, Warner Bros. and MGM principal photography for the films beings in February 2011 under director Peter Jackson.

A St. Camillus employee was attacked in her car late Tuesday night after her shift, the Post Standard reports. The woman was sitting in her car around 11:40 pm Tuesday night after her shift on at the St. Camillus Health and Rehabilitation center on Fay Road. As she was sitting in her car, she was slashed on the cheek. The victim has a 3- to 4- inch cut on her cheek.
