Fourth-seeded Syracuse rolled through thirteen-seeded Montana en route to an 81-34 thrashing in the second round of the NCAA tournament.

They are who we thought they were.

Montana is severely undersized, especially in comparison with Syracuse. The Orange were able to dominate the Grizzlies in every facet of the game. Be it shooting (52-percent vs. 20-percent), free throws (22 vs. 8), assists (21 vs. 5), turnovers (8 vs. 17), fouls (8 vs. 22) or overall points (81 vs. 34), Syracuse completely controlled this game, from tip to buzzer.

One day before the No. 4 seeded Orange face No. 13 seed Montana, an anonymous source told CBSSports the men's basketball team has been under NCAA investigation for years.

An anonymous source told CBSSports.com on Wednesday that the Syracuse University men’s basketball team has been under NCAA investigation for years.

While the investigation doesn’t have to do with last year’s allegations made against former associate head coach Bernie Fine, it’s still both major and wide-ranging, the source told CBSSports.com.

“Throw a dart at the [NCAA] Manual [and you would hit a violation by Syracuse],” the source told CBSSports.com.

Home plate was near the 50-yard line, field goal posts were used as foul poles, and bases were mounted into the turf of Ernie Davis Legends Field for the first ever softball game in the Carrier Dome.

"It was so much fun, great energy in here," head coach Leigh Ross said. "The girls were extra excited to have so many fans here."

A missed Wisconsin 3-point attempt followed by a desperation shot in the games final seconds helped Syracuse keep its season alive.

In every way, Wisconsin brought all they had to the Sweet 16.

Syracuse will be without its starting center, but what's the best way to go about taking down the Orange?

Let me preface this by saying that it’s not easy. Simple. But not easy. The Orange is deep, talented and buck wild in transition.
