This month marks a memorable anniversary for Tony Ferrara.
According to The Post-Standard, fifty-eight years ago, Ferrara, 83, miraculously survived a natural gas line leak that blew up his gas station on Carrier Circle.
“I ran the station with a partner. It was my day to work,” Ferrara said. “I walked in, to the back, and turned on the heat. As soon as I did, there was an explosion.”

A group of suspected pirates was captured Thursday after attacking a U.S. Navy frigate in the Indian Ocean.
CNN.com is reporting the USS Nicholas reported taking fire from a suspected pirate skiff west of Seychelles shortly after midnight local time. The Nicholas immediately pursued the skiff, which was eventually disabled. A boarding team from the Nicholas then captured and detained three people.
