Brett Favre has tendinitis in his right elbow that could sideline him for a game or two.

Brett Favre holds nearly every quarterback record there is in the NFL. However, the most impressive may be his NFL record 288 straight games. That streak is in jeopardy of ending because Favre has tendinitis in his throwing elbow, according to ESPN.

Former Orange and current Minnesota Timberwolves’ point guard Jonny Flynn will likely miss the team’s exhibition game at the Carrier Dome on October 15th while recovering from hip surgery. Flynn was expected to team up with rookie and former Orangeman Wes Johnson for the first time on the Dome floor, but will likely not be able to play until November.

The star of Syracuse football past visits the Carrier Dome for the first time since graduation.

Many years have passed since the sounds of possibility and admiration swirled amid the Syracuse football fans exiting the Carrier Dome.

More amazing, this Saturday these sounds were after a loss.  The pre-season hype generated by the of hiring new head coach Doug Marrone even prompted former quarterback Donovan McNabb to return to his alma mater for the first time since departing for the NFL in 1999.  Hear what Super Five had to say.

A near capacity crowd turned out to watch the kickoff of the Doug Marrone era.

Doug Marrone's tenure as Syracuse University head football coach began Saturday against Minnesota, and the Carrier Dome was nearly packed with a reported crowd of 48,614.

After the recent disappointing seasons, fans were treated to a solid effort by SU, which led Minnesota 20-17 for most of the second half. Late in the fourth quarter Minnesota tied the game at 20, and ultimately won 23-20 in overtime.
