National Grid customers in eastern suburbs without power
After strong winds and rain, more than 1,000 National grid customers are without power this morning in several eastern suburbs of Central New York. According to The Post-Standard emergency dispatchers have said it is due to knocked down limbs that took out wires in these areas.
Mayor Mark-Paul Serafin has been charged for allegedly taking returnable items from a residents’ recycling bins, a violation of city regulations.

The mayor is in legal trouble again after he was accused of taking returnable recyclables from the recycling bin of a resident. Manlius police issued Serafin a criminal summons Monday after they received a complaint from a village resident.

Kevin Haines will serve 1-3 years for February break-in.
An East Syracuse teen will spend 1-3 years in state prison for breaking into a Manlius home in February to steal a handgun according to The Post-Standard.
Kevin Haines, 17, of 508 Fremont Road, East Syracuse pleaded guilty earlier this month to second-degree burglary, but his request to serve his sentence in a local prison was denied by Onondaga County Court Judge Joseph Fahey.
