Valentine's Day has never been simple. Everyone has an opinion somewhere in between on what they think love is. Accordingly, the NewsHouse decided to ask, because clearly we can't pin it down, right? We talked to the Bernice M. Wright Child Development Lab School to get their opinions as well as the views of SU students across the hill. Read the staff's answers below:

New research shows partner's image may reduce pain.

If your head hurts or body aches the one closest to your heart might be the remedy.

New research shows that pictures of loved ones can reduce pain in the same vain as narcotics like cocaine, reports the Daily Mail.

The research, out of Stanford University, found that looking at pictures of a romantic partner can reduce pain anywhere from 36 to 44 percent while intense discomfort dropped 13 percent.

A study at Syracuse University has found that there is a clear similarity between the sensations we experience when we are in love and those caused by drugs.

Psychologists from Syracuse University, West Virginia University and Switzerland have published a report on the Journal of Sexual Medicine, which says that love and drugs cause similar reactions in the brain. 

According to The Post-Standard, the study found that falling in love incorporates a complex cerebral network and the release of dopamine, similarly to the effect cocaine has on the brain.
