Former Orange stars Wes Johnson and Jonny Flynn came back to the Carrier Dome for a homecoming celebration.

Wesley Johnson was all smiles after Friday night's exhibition game against the Detroit Pistons. The rookie wasn’t grinning because his team won the game, but because he was happy to be home again.

“It was a lot of fun,” Johnson said. “ I was tired and a lot of adrenaline was flowing, but I had fun. Seeing that 'S' on the court brought back a lot of good memories.”

Jim Boeheim joins Jonny Flynn and Wes Johson to re-open Schiller Park.

Former Syracuse University basketball stars Jonny Flynn and Wes Johnson will team up with their former coach, Jim Boeheim to re-open the recently renovated basketball court at Schiller Park in Syracuse, according to The Post-Standrd.

The event is open to the public and is scheduled to take place at 2:15 p.m..

Former Orange and current Minnesota Timberwolves’ point guard Jonny Flynn will likely miss the team’s exhibition game at the Carrier Dome on October 15th while recovering from hip surgery. Flynn was expected to team up with rookie and former Orangeman Wes Johnson for the first time on the Dome floor, but will likely not be able to play until November.

Former Syracuse Orange Wesley Johnson goes to the Minnesota Timberwolves as the No. 4 pick, while teammate Andy Rautins heads to the New York Knicks.

Syracuse knew it had a superstar on its hands, and the rest of the country noticed. Wes Johnson was the No. 4 pick last night for the Minnesota Timberwolves, as two of Syracuse Orange's finest were drafted into the NBA, onto bigger and better careers.

SU basketball star turned NBA pro returns to the Dome for a game.

Jonny Flynn is returning to the Carrier Dome basketball court, but he won't be wearing orange. Flynn and his fellow Minnesota Timberwolves will take on the Detroit Pistons in a NBA preseason match at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15.

The Syracuse men’s basketball team joined the recent transfer trend on campus, finally unveiling talented forward Wes Johnson at Media Day on Friday.

Wes Johnson is the big-name transfer Syracuse can’t stop talking about.

On the hill, you can transfer credits, you can transfer funds, you can transfer here to play football, and you can even get a bus transfer.  So how does the newest transfer feel?

“Right now I feel like a rookie, so excited,” said Johnson as he posed for pictures and met with members of the media inside the sparkling-new Carmelo K. Anthony Basketball Center.
