As reported this morning by the Post-Standard, investigators in Onondaga County continue to study the alarming increasing of HIV among teens and young adults. According to the article, investigators believe that many of the people with HIV remain unaware of their condition.

P&C stores are getting a little more help from its friends.  Price Chopper Supermarkets announced it will buy five of the stores from Tops Friendly Markets. P&C has been in financial trouble since filing for bankruptcy earlier this year, and Tops bought 79 failing P&C stores back in January for $85 million. 

Britain plans to send more troops to Afghanistan

British Prime Minister Gordon Brown says plan is connected to President Obama's strategy regarding American troop levels.

According to the nytimes.com, the Prime Minister of Britain, Gordon Brown announced a plan today where Britain would send 500 more troops to Afghanistan. This means the total of Britain troops in Afghanistan over the span of the eight-year war will be 9,500. 

Brown said that a factor in his decision to send these troops to Afghanistan depends on what President Obama decides to do about American troops.
