The veteran New York congressman was found guilty of multiple violations of House rules today.

Democratic Rep. Charlie Rangel was found guilty on 11 of 12 counts by a House ethics subcommittee today. CNN reports that some of the charges include improper use of government mail service and letterhead and failure to pay taxes on a house in the Dominican Republic.

New poll shows incumbent Democrats comfortably in the lead.

The incumbent senators from New York both hold sizeable leads over their Republican opponents, according to a new poll from Quinnipiac University.  The poll, which was released today, showed Kirsten Gillibrand with a 21-point advantage over challenger Joe DioGuardi, 55 percent to 34 percent.

Google decided to close its Internet search engine in China on Monday.  Chinese Google users will now be directed to the uncensored Hong Kong version of the site which may get blocked on the mainland.

According to the New York Times, Google is turning its back on the world's largest Internet market of 400 million web users.  Google plans on maintaining its China sales department and research and development team.
