The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency announced Tuesday that a record has been broken for the number of deportations, with nearly 400,000 in the last fiscal year. This is the highest number of deportations the ICE has ever recorded, according to CNN.
POTUS says Iran will pay for planning attempt on Saudi ambassador's life
President Obama said that evidence collected shows that Iran is responsible for an alleged attempt on the life of the Saudi Arabian Ambassador to the United States. The president vowed sanctions and international pressure as a result of Iran's actions, according to ABC News. "We're going to continue... to mobilize the international community to make sure that Iran is further and further isolated and pays a price for this kind of behavior," Obama said.
Documents obtained from 'Fast and Furious' operation
Congress has put new pressure on Attorney General Eric Holder and his justice department over a botched gun smuggling sting operation in Arizona.
According to CNN.com, the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee has subpoenaed Holder for his communications with several top Justice Department officials regarding the operation known as "Fast and Furious."
21-year-old man from Kosovo in custody after two U.S. airmen killed, two others wounded today in shooting incident on U.S. military bus.
According to CNN, a suspect in the shooting of two U.S. airmen at the Frankfurt Airport has been taken into custody. The suspect is Arid Uka, from the northern town of Mitrovica, said Kosovo's interior minister, Bajram Rexhepi.
Uka approached the bus, which was parked outside Terminal 2 and marked as a U.S. military vehicle, German police said.
Former President George H. W. Bush, poet Maya Angelou and baseball player Stan Musial were among the 15 people to receive the Medal of Freedom on Tuesday, Feb. 15 from President Barack Obama according to CNN.
The Medal of Freedom is considered the highest civilian honor. At the ceremony, President Obama explained why each person was receiving the medal.

Demonstrators weren't the only ones angered at President Murbarak's speech last night, according to ABC. Despite speculation he would announce his resignation, Mubarak instead handed over some powers to his vice president and clung to the presidency.
Time is running out for the Senate to repeal the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy as it faces new uncertainties. Strong objections remain from the Republican party and senior ranks of the military according to The New York Times.
Even though Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates said he wants to see the Senate vote on the repeal before the end of the year, the situation still seems dire.

Gen. James L. Jones resigns as National Security Advisor.
President Obama announced Friday that Gen. James L. Jones has resigned as the National Security Adviser according to The New York Times. The Principal Deputy National Security Adviser, Thomas E. Donilon, will replace him.
It has been long rumored that Jones would be leaving the administration. General Jones and President Obama never seemed to work well together according to aides. Jones began traveling more often while leaving much of the responsibility of the 250-member National Security Council to Donilon.
With his numbers down, President Obama looks to improve his standing with voters.
President Obama's approval rating has dropped to 27-percent according to Rasmussen Reports, so the president is trying to improve his numbers by returning to one of his most successful campaign venues – Univeristy of Wisconsin.
