Mitt Romney breathed a sigh of relief after winning both primaries in Arizona and Michigan, both critical for the Republican nomination. The race had been close in the weeks leading up to today, especially in Michigan. Rick Santorum had been narrowly leading in Michigan a few weeks prior to the primary, and his win could have been a game changer in the race, NPR.org reports.

Thousands of pounds of drugs were seized and 76 were arrested as a part of 'Operation Pipeline Express'

Authorities have arrested a total of 76 suspected drug smugglers in Arizona who they believe ferried thousands of pounds of drugs across the Mexican-U.S. border in recent months, Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials said.

ICE's Homeland Security Investigations and the Pinal County Sheriff's Office arrested 22 suspected smugglers tied to the ring on Thursday, according to the Associated Press. This is the cap on a 17-month investigation dubbed "Operation Pipeline Express."

After weeks of recovery, Arizona Rep. Gabrielle Giffords speaks her first words.

PHOENIX — Arizona Rep. Gabrielle Giffords spoke for the first time since she was shot in the forehead, her spokesman said Wednesday according to The Post-Standard.

Giffords first spoke within the past few days and is speaking “More and more,” according to spokesman C.J. Karamargin.  He had no idea what her first words were but said at breakfast one morning she asked for toast.

Renovations to the Hutchings Psychiatric Center near Syracuse University will provide more room for children and teenagers. The $12 million expansion, scheduled to open in May, will help the center cut down on restraint and seclusion.  The unit has 30 beds for children and teenagers.  The unit increased after Four Winds, a private Syracuse psychiatric hospital for youths closed, in 2004. The renovated building will have wider halls, bigger rooms and classrooms.
