Star running back Delone Carter pleaded guilty to charges of second degree harassment.

Syracuse running back Delone Carter pleaded guilty Thursday to charges of second degree harassment, according to CNYcentral.com.  Carter was sentenced on a conditional charge, meaning if he stays out of trouble, the charges will be dropped.

Stand-up comedian and star of "My Wife and Kids," Damon Wayans, is coming to Syracuse University to perform for homecoming weekend

This year’s Orange Central events will include a comedy show performance by stand-up comedian and television star, Damon Wayans.

The homecoming weekend concert will take place Oct. 16 in the Goldstein Auditorium in the Schine Student Center. The event starts at 8 p.m., but Wayne will kick-off the night at 7 p.m. with a pre-comedy show.

Wayans is well known for his successful comedy show, “In Living Color,” the sitcom, “My Wife and Kids” and a string of movies including, “Major Payne” and “The Last Boy Scout.”

The Syracuse University football team is concentrated on catching up on academics and training to prepare for South Florida on Oct 9. Despite the 3-1 start to the season, the injury plagued squad calls for an adjustment to the practice schedule.

"Thank God for the walk-ons", Syracuse University Football team Head coach Doug Marrone said, after the never-ending list of key players to lost to injury expands after last Saturday’s 42-7 win against Colgate. That list has grown to include wide receivers Aaron Weaver and Steve Rene, according to The Post-Standard.

Former Syracuse basketball star, Carmelo Anthony, appeared to be on his way to the New Jersey Nets but the proposed four-team deal has fallen through.

The four-team trade that had NBA superstar, Carmelo Anthony, to the New Jersey Nets is reported to be dead, according to ESPN. The deal fell through when Nets General Manager, Billy King, reportedly set a Tuesday deadline for the Denver Nuggets to make a decision on the deal but the Nuggets did not accept or reject the offer.  The Nets were no longer prepared to wait any longer on the Nugget's indecision,.

A redshirt senior rushed for a personal record 172 yards and four touchdowns against Central New York rival Colgate.

One week after rushing for only 65 yards against FCS opponent Maine, Syracuse Orange running back Delone Carter ran for a personal best 172 yards and tied another personal record with four rushing touchdowns against Colgate. Those stats were good enough for Carter to be named the Big East Offensive Player of the Week.

Mark your calendars, because the 2010-2011 Syracuse University Lecture season is a must-see lineup. Nine speakers will make their appearances on campus throughout the academic year for the University Lecture's 10th season.

Two featured speakers are Randy Cohen and Nicholas D. Kristof.

Student rapper Delirium breaks down the controversy in a new video.

The controversy surrounding graduation speaker Jamie Dimon, the CEO of JPMorgan Chase, is generating so much buzz you could write a song about it. That's what one SU student rapper did.

Busting rhymes along Marshall Street and in front of the Hall of Languages, Delirium puts a lyrical spin on commencement. Check out the video below.

VPA's Annual Fashion Show puts students' work in the runway spotlight.

A chance to see the next possible Marc Jacobs is at your fingertips. Syracuse University's The School of Visual and Performing Arts is hosting their Annual Fashion Show this week, and the night promises to bring plenty of fabulous fashion, glamour, and buzz.  The School of Art and Design's senior fashion design majors will debut their collections during the two-day event.

"Take the Mic" pits poets against poets in a verbal slam contest.

17 poets. Two rounds. One winner.

The battle for the “Take the Mic” poetry slam is this week and contestants will be on fire as they scorch their competition with words. Each poet will recite their best original material for up to three minutes in front of five judges. Points will be awarded for stage presence, content, deliver, originality, and time.

Although the top three poets walk away with prizes, only one will be victorious.
