Two people died when their single-engine plane crashed in south central Wisconsin, according to The Federal Aviation Administration.
The plane crashed around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday about 15 miles southwest of Baraboo, according to FAA spokesperson Elizabeth Isham Cory.
The Cessna 150 wreckage was found by the Sauk County Sherriff's Department at 11 p.m. Sunday after hours of searching through foggy conditions in rural areas.
The FAA says the plane was using visual flight rules meaning it wasn't in contact with an air control tower when it went down.
The National Transportation Safety Board is still investigating.
