The battle between the East and the West quickly turned into the battle between Kobe Bryant and LeBron James.
According to ESPN, the 2011 NBA All-Star Game was the highest-scoring regulation game in history. Bryant and LeBron went head-to-head to prove who was better once and for all.
In the end, the 148-143 victory went to the West and Bryant was awarded the title of MVP of the game. Bryant scored 37 points at the Staples Center last night, eight more points than LeBron.
In the last couple seconds LeBron's Miami teammate Chris Bosh missed a three-point field goal, which ultimatley ended the game. This was "Bryant's record-setting fourth All- Star Game MVP award, tying the mark held by former Hawks player Bob Pettit," said Hollinger.
Lebron and Bryant will play against each other again in June, continuing the battle from last night.
