NEW YORK -- Kemba Walker hit the game-winning basket to lift No. 19 Connecticut over No. 3 Pittsburgh in the quarterfinals of the Big East Tournament, according to ESPN.
Walker got the ball at the top of the arc with 15 seconds left and allowed the clock to fall under five seconds before making a move. He then used a crossover and shoulder roll to dump his defender, 6-foot-10 Gary McGhee, right to the ground, then drained the shot with total composure.
The Huskies (24-9) have won three games in three days after falling to the No. 9 seed in the Big East tournament late in the season. They will take on No. 5 seed St. John's or No. 3 Syracuse in the semifinals Friday night.
Walker finished with 24 points for the Huskies, his third straight outstanding game at Madison Square Garden.
