The winter storm that hit Central New York yesterday left massive amounts of snow, another day off from school and some without power.

According to the National Weather Service, by 10:30pm Thursday, Syracuse accumulated 14.4 inches. The storm continued through Friday morning and unofficial estimates reported 22.4 inches at 7 a.m. for Syracuse suburbs.

Utility and road crews worked throughout the night. Utility crews are restoring power for almost 200 customers in Baldwinsville and Clay. All state routes are open and drivable, but reasonable and smart driving is emphasized.

The weather service is calling another one to three inches of snow today.

Two Canadian Teachers Perform Lap Dance

Two Winnipeg high school teachers have been sent home without pay after they performed a lap dance last week during a school pep rally.

The dirty dance was performed during a spirit week dance competition at Churchill High School last Wednesday in front of abut 100 kids. Students recorded the dance on cellphones and it was soon posted on the internet.

The dance included butt-slapping, gyrating and oral-sex simulations.

Chrystie Fitchner, a physical education teacher, and the unidentified male teacher, have not been officially suspended. The Winnipeg School Division is investigating.

Students Move Into the Dome

Syracuse University students have been sleeping over in the Dome, since Wednesday night, for the best seats in the student section for the SU-Villanova game on Saturday night.

Students can form teams of up to four to wait in line. One team member must remain in the Dome at all times for the team to keep their spot. All team members must sleepover tonight, or individual names will be crossed off the list.

About 500 students have brought their sleeping bags to spend their nights, and days, at the Dome.

Many devoted fans have even brought air mattresses, chairs, fans, video-games, and televisions. Some are even getting their homework done too.
