U.S. Census Bureau sends out extra census forms

Plus, a Syracuse man is going to jail for a long time and Donovan McNabb's first day as a Redskin.

“Didn’t I already get one of these?”  That’s the question that almost 40 million U.S. households should be asking when they receive a second Census form in their mailboxes over the next week.  According to ABC News in Fort Myers, the U.S. Census Bureau has mailed a second round of Census forms to 40 million households in areas where less than 59 percent of people responded back in 2000.  Aside from these 40 million homes, the Bureau is sending an additional 15 million Census forms to households in areas where only between 59 and 67 percent of people sent their forms back in during the last Census.  Census Bureau Director Robert Groves says the move should increase participation in the Census by 7 to 10 percent and save taxpayers over $500 million.

He was sentenced to 22 years to life for murdering Cheeks and another eight years for trying to kill Black.

McNabb Introduced as a Redskin

In the words of six-time Pro Bowl quarterback Donovan McNabb “a new chapter in the book of Donovan” has begun.  ESPN reports that the long-time Philadelphia Eagles quarterback was introduced today as a member of the Washington Redskins.  During the press conference, McNabb held up his new No. 5 Redskins jersey, the same number he wore with the Eagles for over a decade.  McNabb, who played his college career at Syracuse, was traded to Philadelphia’s division rival Washington on Sunday for the 37th pick in this month’s NFL Draft, along with a third or fourth round draft pick next year.
