United States and Pakistan joint forces captured the Taliban's top commander in Karachi, Pakistan a few days ago, said American government officials.The captured commander is Afghan Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, and is said to be the biggest capture since the United States campaign in Afghanistan 8 years ago.

Baradar is the number two leader in Taliban, behind Mullah Muhammad Omar who founded the Taliban. The US and Pakistan have both been interrogating Baradar for several days.
Rescue crews at Mount St. Helens volcano will try to find and rescue a man who fell 1,500 feet into the crater of the volcano Monday afternoon. The man was posing for a picture at the edge of the crater when he fell.
Leader of the rescue team, Chief Tom McDowell, says the man wasn't wearing his jacket because he was hot, and there would be little padding the fall. CNN affiliate KATU reported the man was a veteran climber of the Volcano, climbing it more than 60 times.
Connecticut's up and down season continued last night beating Villanova 84-75 in Philidelphia. Kemba Walker had a career high with 29 points while adding 9 rebounds to lead Connecticut. The Huskies got to the free throw line 44 times compared to Wildcats 20. The top four teams in the Big East have all lost in the last four days. The Huskies ended their six game conference losing streak, while bringing Villanova's 12 game home winning streak to an end.
