The Taliban announced it was behind a suicide bombing in Pakistan’s second largest city. According to CNN.com, the bomb killed 13 people and injured 113 others.
The bomb went off in the city of Lahore and aimed to attack the Special Investigation Agency, A law-enforcement agency which functions to inspect high priority inmates.
Spokesman for the Pakistani Taliban, Azam Tariq, said the bomb was a retaliation of the aggression shown to Muslims around the world by the United States.
"We will follow U.S. and its allies all over the world, even if they are in Karachi, Peshawar, Lahore, Afghanistan or in U.S.,” Tariq said.
According to government officials a mother and daughter were killed as well as seven security personnel. About 81 people were hospitalized.
The number of people reported dead from the incident is expected to rise.

Nurse Mason will be a part of a team of other health officials organized by a Baptist church in Arlington, Texas.
Although she’ll be miles from home, this isn’t Mason’s first time traveling abroad for the sake of helping others. In the past Mason has made medical mission trips to countries such as the Dominican Republic, Peru, Kenya, and Liberia.

Singer Marie Osmond’s son Michael Bryan shares his final words just moments before ending his own life.
Bryan had planned to see his close friend Ruthann Clawson the night of Feb. 26, but when Clawson texted Bryan to confirm their plans she got a response she wasn’t expecting.
According to People.com, Clawson told Entertainment Tonight Bryan said there was a letter for her.
Clawson said she called Bryan but got no response. When she went to visit, she found her friend Bryan over the balcony, and a letter for her in his room.
People.com reports that Bryan told Clawson his reason for taking his own life was because he wanted to be at peace.
